Nineveh The ancient city of Nineveh We will be going into the books of Jonah and Nahum and see What God has to say about the Assyrian capitol, the city of Nineveh and its inhabitants the Ninevehite people. We can learn some important lessons from looking at this.

\\After that we’ll look at some of God’s rhema word to the church concerning America and the position God said America is in today, plus what God has to say to believers in Revelation believers, the believers that listen to his voice and follow his will and his ways.

Prayer: Father, bring to our attention everything you would have us glean and understand from your word today. Amen

Nineveh: Let’s go to God's word and look at some of the details. We'll start out with Jonah first, then we'll go to the book of Nahum for God’s final word to Nineveh.

\\In the book of Jonah, Jonah has a terrific miracle happen for him, but we're going to skip around that and zero in on his mission, Jonah's calling, what has God called him to do? In chapter 1 verses 1 & 2 and the first part of verse 3 we get the picture.

And I am reading now out of the (NKJ) Jonah 1:1 and following through to verse 3. verse 1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness, has come up before Me."

Verse 3 But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

\\How about that, Jonah is running away from God so he thinks, let's see what actually happens, and we'll see how that works out for him.

\\Most everyone is familiar with Jonah and the whale and you know the whole story. So we won’t go into that and everything he goes through, but our focus is going to be on, what God has called Jonah to do. Jonah goes through some turmoil and he gets to the point where he is in dire straights and he makes a vow to God, he prays to him in verse 7 of chapter 2 and I am reading

Jonah 2:7 "When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer went up to You, into Your holy temple.

Now dropping down to verse 9 Jonah says,

Jonah 2:9 But I will sacrifice to you with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD."

\\The bible doesn't tell us what Jonah vowed but salvation is emphasized here and after all, God saved Jonah from death.

Next over in chapter 3 verse 1 and following “Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the second time, saying,

Chapter 3 Verse 2 "Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you."

Verse 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent.

\\So at this point we'll recall what was said back in chapter 1 verse 2. God said “arise go to Nineveh that great city and cry out against it for their wickedness, has come up before me.

\\That word Wickedness translated the Hebrew in Strong’s 7451 ra’ (rah) has several meaning’s but among the meanings it is defined as, distress, evil, it also means trouble, misery, difficulty, harm, among other things.

\\Charles W. Snow, Jr. B.S., M.A., Ed.D. he was at one time the Dean of Doctoral Studies, school of Theology and Missions at O.R.U. in Tulsa OK. He gives some background information on Jonah and makes various comments: He points out, “The pagan Assyrians, were long standing enemies of Israel, they were a dominant force among the ancients, and among other things he goes on to say, Old Testament accounts describe their forays against Israel and Judah in which they ravaged the countryside and carried away captives”.

Now continuing on in Jonah Chapter 3, verse 4: And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day's walk. Then he cried out and said, "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!"

\\Take note of the message the prophet was given "Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!"

The people of Nineveh sure took note of what Jonah was prophesying. because in verse 5 it tells us

3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest to the least of them.

\\Now we’ll read the outcome in chapter 3 verses 6 through 10 The greatest one is explained here in verse 6

6 Then word came to the king of Nineveh; and he arose from his throne, and laid aside his robe, covered himself with sackcloth and sat in ashes.

3:7 And he caused it to be proclaimed and published throughout Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste anything; do not let them eat, or drink water.

8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily to God; yes, let every one turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands.

Verse 9 Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?

The results of their actions are described in Jonah 3:10 reading verse

10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.

\\No matter what others have led you to believe, God created the heavens and earth and mankind. In higher public education and in primary public education in the U.S. they have completely eliminated God and any reference to him. Well perhaps now would be a good time for them to reassess their position especially considering what we hear in current events that are taking place all over the world today.

If their not referencing and acknowledging God, then what happens? Evil will manifest itself in a great way, the devil will gladly fill the void. God puts up with the evil things only for just so long, he cuts people a lot of slack, but somewhere down the road he brings judgment. This he has done many times throughout history, and his word, the bible bears witness of that, not just with Nineveh, but in many other instances also. The Jewish people time and time again turned away from God and suffered the consequences, and the consequences were not good.

\\Now in recent times he caught some people's attention here in America with 911, and I understand after 911 some of the churches in the city filled up, but for only a short time.

In just a few weeks, little by little, everyone turned away from thoughts of God and his will and his ways and went their own way, doing their own things again, and disregarding God. We’ll see here in the future, with the Ninevehites, that going in that direction didn't work for them. But for now God gave a warning to Nineveh by the way of Jonah the prophet a 100 and 40 years before the fall of Nineveh. And In Jonah's day from the king on down, everyone turned from his or her own wicked evil ways, and God relented.

The king issued a decree and in Jonah 3;10 it tells us the people turned from their wicked ways and God relented of the things he was about to do, the disaster he said he would bring upon them. Again we will read Verse 10

10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it.

This verse sums up and explains the results of God's warning to Nineveh, and what action Nineveh took, and the results of their actions. “ they turned from their wicked ways and God did not do it. This ended Jonah's assignment.

\\NOW Over in the book of Nahum we find out that Nineveh has gone back to its old ways, that God calls wickedness. This is now a 140 years later after Jonah gave them their first message from God. Here is the condition of Nineveh at this point, it’s described in Nahum chapter 3: verse 19 last part of the verse tells us, and I am quoting, ‘for upon whom has not your wickedness passed continually?’

This is a good time to bring back to remembrance a verse in Amos.

Amos 3:7 reads, Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. --------

This is the way God’s word tells us he does things, or the order that he operates in, certainly in this case anyway, not in all cases. Now Back to Nahum and our subject - Nineveh ------

He is dealing with Nineveh again. Remember, this is the second time and we are going to see, it is not a good word for Nineveh.

\\Before we go any deeper into Nahum let’s get some more background on the subject. This is what the commentator notes in my bible for background.

Nineveh - The theory was that the book was not actually written until after the destruction of Nineveh in 612 BC resist upon the tense of this verb. An exceedingly great city, can also can be translated a city important to God. Various theories have been advanced concerning Nineveh as a city requiring three days to traverse; it was approximately 60 miles across, thus requiring three 20-mile travel days. Another view suggests it was approximately 60 mile in circumstance. It could have required one day for the immigration process, one day for visiting, and business, and one day for legal, three days to accomplish everything a person needed to do, to visit Nineveh.

This commentator being Timothy Mark Powell with several letters after his name BS, M.Div Ph.D he is senior pastor of Christian Life Assembly in Fresno, Ca. Now, my bible was (Publishers in 1991) that’s some time ago. He was the senior pastor at that time anyway.

He remarks “The kingdom of the Assyrians and their capital city of Nineveh had been thriving for centuries. Ancient documents attest the cruelty of the Assyrians against other nations. Assyrian kings boasted of their savagery, celebrating the abuse and torture they inflicted on conquered peoples. The Assyrians had conquered the northern kingdom of Israel, and threatened the southern kingdom of Judah.

The destruction of Nineveh, the capital city of the Assyrian empire is the subject of the prophecy of Nahum. This city was located on the east bank of the Tigris River opposite the modern city of Mosul in Iraq.

Its walls were over 100 feet high (I would like to remark here (can you picture that, over a 100 feet high what is the height of the average chain link fences we see in and around school playgrounds and so on, 6 & 8 feet 10’ or high maybe, think about that, this wall is over 12 times higher than our normal chain link fences.)

Now going on with the commentary, “and wide enough for three chariots to ride abreast. I also read another commentary once that said it was wide enough for 5 chariots to ride abreast. Anyway this was some wall, Nineveh’s wall of protection.

It could accommodate three hundred thousand people and there was a 150 foot moat outside Nineveh. That’s a lot of water and distance to cross.

The book of Nahum focuses on a single concern, the fall of the city of Nineveh”.

\\Take Note: When it comes to comments the things that I am commenting about are always taken from others. Nothing I have to say is original, even if it is given by the Spirit, many times, the chances are, that the Spirit has also shared it with others.

I want you to know I don't have a corner on the market of anything I am talking about here, nothing original. I have either seen it, or read it, or heard about it from others.

Let’s go into the details of the book of Nahum and what God’s message is to Nineveh is this time. –

Nahum chapter 1 verse 1 reads

Nahum 1:1 The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.

The [definition of the word burden:] Strong’s 4853 massa' (mas-saw'); from 5375; there is a long description of the word and among that description it says: [an utterance, chiefly a doom,]

STOP with other descriptive words, a burden; specifically, tribute, or figuratively, and so on descriptions (abstractly) porterage; (especially singing; mental, desire: KJV-- burden, carry away, prophecy, X they set, song, tribute.)

START Now in chapter 1 and verse 2 and following God's nature (his character you might say) and his ways are described.

Chapter 1: verse 2 reads, God is jealous, and the LORD avenges; the LORD avenges and is furious. The LORD will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserves wrath for His enemies;

And verse 3 reads Nahum 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

\\Take note, verse 3 tells us, God does not acquit the wicked at some point in time there is going to be a price to pay.

going down to verse 6

Nahum 1:6 Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by Him.

God's character is further described in verse 7

7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.

Now here is another side of God mentioned, in this verse 7, it says he is good he knows who trust him.

\\If you're walking in righteousness, meaning right standing with God, none of these things that he talks about concerning Nineveh have to do with you personally!!!!!!!

Here he is talking about the world and those that won’t turn to him and walk in his will and his ways.

\\Going on in chapter 2 verse 1 God warns or tells the Ninevhites what is going to happen to them and tells them what to do, he says to the Ninevhites.

Reading Chapter 2: verse 1 He who scatters has come up before your face. Man the fort! Watch the road! Strengthen your flanks! Fortify your power mightily.

\\There is a comment in my bible about, he who scatters in chapter 2 verse 1 and it says: He who scatters is the coalition of Medes, Babylonians, and Scyhians who are about to attack Nineveh.

I am going to have to spell some of these words because I don't know how to pronounce them correctly; I am going to attempt to pronounce some of them. God is also telling the Ninevehites, put forth your best effort to defend yourselves. “Man the fort, watch the road, strengthen your flanks, fortify you power mightily”.

Chapter 2 Down to verse 5 the second part of the verse says: “They make haste to her walls, and the defense is prepared.

In the next verses God describes what things are going to take place and one of the things in Verse 6 says: The gates of the rivers are opened, and the palace is dissolved.

\\So we can see here in this verse the city is going to be flooded.

Again going to the commentary by Timothy Mark Powell we get an expiation of (“the palace is dissolved”) and Tim Mark Powel says, Besides the Tigris River on the west, the Koser a spring-fed stream, traversed Nineveh; a canal also ran through the city. Sennacherib he is a former king of Nineveh, had built a series of dams to control water flow. The invaders likely closed the gates of the rivers to stop the flow of water and make their approach to Nineveh easier, then suddenly opened the gates to release torrents of water and unleash a destructive flood on the city. The palace, likely was constructed of dried mud bricks that would literally dissolve. ````````````````````` \\So apparently it looks like, nothing is cemented, it’s all just dirt bricks.

Reading verse 8

Now reading verse 8 of Nahum, chapter 2:8 Though Nineveh of old was like a pool of water, now they flee away. "Halt! Halt!" they cry; but no one turns back.

And in verse 10 we see the results of this action.

Nahum 2:10 She is empty, desolate, and waste! The heart melts, and the knees shake; much pain is in every side, and all their faces are drained of color. Now we got a picture of the fright that the people of Nineveh had, “their faces are drained of color”

Now dropping down in chapter 2 to verse 13 God addresses the destruction of Nineveh. In verse 13 the declaration is made.

Nahum 2:13

13 "Behold, I am against you," says the LORD of hosts, "I will burn your chariots in smoke, and the sword shall devour your young lions; I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers shall be heard no more."

The comment in my bible about verse 13 explains it this way. The fall is an act of divine retribution. Ancient records and modern excavations also indicate portions of the city were burned; the fall of Nineveh silenced the voice of Assyria forever.

\\Now going on into chapter 3 verse 1 we get a clear description of the current condition of Nineveh and what will take place.

Why was God so merciless, let’s look at more of the details, the condition of Nineveh

Nahum chapter 3 verse 1 Woe to the bloody city! It is all full of lies and robbery. Its victim never departs.

That's the condition now jumping down to verse 3 of chapter 3

What has happened

Reading Nahum 3:3 Horsemen charge with bright sword and glittering spear. There is a multitude of slain, a great number of bodies, countless corpses-- they stumble over the corpses--

Why has this happen?

verse 4 explains: Because of the multitude of harlotries of the seductive harlot, the mistress of sorceries, who sells nations through her harlotries, and families through her sorceries.

verse 5 reads "Behold, I am against you," says the LORD of hosts; "I will lift your skirts over your face, I will show the nations your nakedness, and the kingdoms your shame.

\\Again going to the comments in my bible it explains chapter 3 verses 1 through 4 among other things it says, Nineveh indeed was a bloody city guilty of shedding innocent blood of multitudes of victims their wealth and power made her a seductive power and alley

\\Timothy Mark Powell points out 2 things, a seductive power and alley but she really was a harlot demanding heavy payments for her services Nineveh received the judgment of the prostitute and adulteress of public discloser and disgrace.

We have just covered some Biblical History concerning Nineveh and find out, that in the end, the result is, she is destroyed. God gave Nahum the word to tell them, put your best foot forward, destruction is on the way, but in there own power and strength they were not able to save themselves and God’s word was fulfilled.

God’s nature and character doesn’t change. God’s word says, in the New Testament about the son of God that, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. That scripture is in Hebrews chapter 13 verse 8.

So we have covered what has happened in past history with the Assyrian capital city of Nineveh, and how God warned them, they repented, but 140 years later they were right back to where they were in the beginning, their old wicked ways that God actually called wickedness.

We read the city, and their young warriors, were destroyed and the people had to flee for their lives.

Let’s talk about the future and to do that we will look at what God’s word says about the people of today, the days we are living in now, the very end times, the end days.

In these end days, here are some questions,

What will the Condition of the world be like? What will the nature of the people be? What does God have to say to believers by the power of his Holy Spirit, his rhema word to the church? We’ll cover these three things briefly in the time we have left.

We’ll start with, What did God say in his written word that things would be like here on earth in the end days? And to do that Let’s take a look at;

Luke chapter 21 verse 7 and following to verse 11 So they asked Him, saying, "Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?"

8 And He said: "Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am He,' and, 'The time has drawn near.' Therefore do not go after them.

9 "But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately."

10 Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

\\ Do we ever see examples of that now, nation against nation; Russia, Ukraine, the middle east, North and South Sudan, the United States running here and there all over the place with their military. These are only a few of the conflicts taking place in the world today. Here is an excerpt from an article written by By Chris Jewers in the Daily Mail on 1-21-of 2024 :: well over a year ago and it reads,

If it feels like the world is seeing a spike in deadly conflicts, the data is there to back up that notion. Figures compiled by the Peace Research Institute in Oslo show more battle-related deaths from state conflicts in 2022 than in any year since 1984.

\\So nation against nation, we are sure seeing that

Luke 21 Verse 11 "And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. \\We have ever seen earthquakes in our country and here and there, and all around world, especially in the ring of fire along with many other places. Here is an article I’m looking at while putting this message together. This is an article put out by the The Economic Collapse titled Pestilences And Earthquakes on April 3, 2024

Talk about earthquakes these are just various excerpts taken from that article

another example of how unstable our planet is becoming.

Earlier this year there was a swarm of more than 270 earthquakes near Reno, University of Nevada. Reno, has identified and located over 270 small magnitude earthquakes in the last 30 days so far. The largest related quake to date has been a magnitude 3.5 in the afternoon of Jan. 28 that was felt and heard through much of Reno.

Groups of small- to moderate-sized earthquakes, such as those recently occurring in south Reno, are often called a “swarm.”

We could go on with numerous examples like this but safe to say many earthquakes are taking place all over the world and in the same article Pestilence The bird flu plague has already killed millions upon millions of birds all over the planet

The largest producer of fresh eggs in the United States says it has temporarily closed one of its facilities in Texas after highly pathogenic avian influenza, otherwise known as H5N1 bird flu, wiped out nearly two million birds. Bird flu is often fatal in birds and humans, but human cases are rare.

Worldwide, between 2003 and April 1 of this year, 889 human cases have been reported to the World Health Organization (WHO) from 23 countries. Of those patients, 463 died. When talking about pestilence, How about Covid that alone effected the whole world. So from earthquakes and pestilences we’ll go to, Famines, Natural News put out an article on 1-29-of 2024 titled A Time Of Wars And Rumors Of Wars, Famines, Pestilences And Major Natural Disasters This is an excert from that article. And I am quoting, “Most Americans don’t realize this, but we are in the midst of the worst global food crisis in modern history right now. And according to the EU, the number of people around the world dealing with acute food insecurity in 2023 jumped 10 percent higher than 2022’s record level… The global food crisis is affecting millions of people around the world. In 2023, record levels of acute food insecurity persist due to protracted food crises and new shocks. In 48 countries, 238 million people are facing high levels of acute food insecurity – 10% more than in 2022. So certainly we are hearing and seeing the things that Luke 21: verse 11 talks about.

I have had my hand of protection upon America but no more. I am going to shake America like never before. I will lift my hand of protection for a little while. Remember nine-one-one and what happened when my hand was lifted? What is to come is far worse than that. I have sat back and watched as my word has been removed from your schools. Your children know nothing of me. I have watched while your government has removed my commandments from their walls. They have promoted a life style forbidden by me. I have said in my word, man shall not lie with man and women with women this is an abomination.

You have opened up your military, they are dancing in the streets, they are thumbing their noses and saying, we are here we will take over. I will not allow this to go on any longer without discipline. I love you America but you need to be shaken. etc

\\That word was for America the country we are living in, describing the condition that it is currently in today and that it will be disciplined.

\\What does God tell us, his children the believers, the overcomers, the people of God the churches walking in his will and his ways. The overcoming church.

\\In God’s written word he has a lot to say in Revelation chapters 2&3. to his children the overcoming church. In the interest of time I’m not going to read the complete messages to the churches but I am going to read the promises given to the overcoming churches, if they follow his will and his ways. He has other things to say to the churches but we are just focusing on what is in store for the overcomers. You can see all this in context by reading Revelation chapters 2 & 3. You can look deeper into this if you so desire.

To the seven overcoming churches, the first church God addressed is at

Ephesus we are at Revelation 2:7

7 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.

Next church the Church at Smyrna

Rev 2:10 "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.To the Church at Pergamos

Rev 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it."'

Church at Thyatira

Rev 2:26 "And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations--

Church at Sardis

Rev 3:5 "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Church at Philadelphia

Rev 3:12 "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him, My new name.

Then last one The church at Laodicean

Rev 3:21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. This has been read out of the (NKJ)

\\We the church here on earth today, need to walk in God’s will and his ways, and if we do that, we will be the overcomers described here in Revelation and our inheritance will be more than we can imagine, certainly at this point in time anyway. The message here is, we have these things to look forward to, if we walk in his will and in his ways, we will be overcomers.

\\I’de like to make a comment here. So if you have accepted Jesus as your lord and savior Romans 10:9&10 I’ll quote these verses R-10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. And verse 10 goes on to explain, Verse 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

And if you drop down to verse 13 we find it is very inclusive, verse 13 says For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." \\For all who have done this and walk in his will and his ways, it’s very important to walk in his will and his ways, it will be a joyest time for all of us, a time of miracles, signs and wonders. That is something to get really get excited about. God has said in his rhema word to the church and I quote, a great time of revival’ and “the hour filled with all the promises that I have given unto you.”

\\Praise God Amen, Amen so be it Lord.

SUMMARY So to summarize what we have talked about

We have covered the message of What God gave the two prophets Jonah and Nahum to Nineveh, “go there and tell them the message I give you and the message was, because of their wickedness your going to be destroyed. Go to Nineveh that great city and cry out against it for their wickedness has come up before me. The people took the message seriously the first time in Johan’s day from the king on down the people turned from their wicked ways

The second time, 140 years later, God sends Nahum to Nineveh because they had turned back to their old wicked ways, this time God didn’t cut them any slack, he brought judgment.

But when God has had enough of what is going on, The book of Nahum tells us, in the end, the result is, she is destroyed. God didn’t put up with their wickedness anymore.

We read about what the condition of mankind would be like in the world in the end days, men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.

And Also what signs we would see in the world, in the end days, we would hear of wars and commotions "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, famines and pestilence

We also read two rhema words about the condition that America is today with a warning of impending judgment.

We also read about the overcoming church and all the wonderful things God has in store for them. I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. So said Jesus to John. What a promise.

Today 911 has passed the warning has gone out, and things haven’t changed, we really need revival in our land. God wants his creation to be walking in his will and his ways.

Now here is a word given to Rhema Bible Church in Oklahoma

Now I would like to read you a prophecy that I heard pastor Lynette Hagin of Rhema Bible Church bring out in her message that I was listening to quite some time ago.

Pastor Lynette Hagin of Rhema was preaching a message recently about keeping the fire burning and in her message she brought out a prophecy her late father in law Kenneth E. Hagin (not the pastor that is presently pasturing the church but his father) had given back in April of 1983. She said and I am quoting, I want read this prophecy it will help you to understand what will happen in these last days. “In this move, in this move, in this move that is about to come, it will not altogether be something new that you’ve never seen, it will be a combination of everything you’ve seen put together plus a little bit more. In this move of God that is just about to spring upon you there will be manifestations of casting out demons that you haven’t seen yet. Now some of you have gone back from casting out demons and the spirit of God said, I began a move along that line a few years ago” (and pastor Lynette said we remember that in the eighties), and continuing on “and men avoided the move. They mixed some of their own thinking in on it and they tried to control it and do it according to carnal, and according to the way that they think it ought to be done but you haven’t seen anything yet of what you are going to see in dealing with demons.” Lynette remarks, (And I believe there is a lot of demonic activity out there how about you, yes even in the United Stated of America). Continuing with the word “For demons are let loose upon the earth, they are going about as never before because they know their time is short, and so in this multiplication there is an advance of demon activity, there will be the activity of the Holy Ghost. Demons that have harassed men, demons that have held ministries in check will leave, and you have not seen yet what you will see in the area of dealing with demons, casting out demons, exercising authority over demons, and you are about to step into them like you’ve stepped through a door into another room. And secondly says the Spirit of God, you have not seen revival of the divine healing that you are about to see. Oh yes you’ve saw those that I raised up, you’ve seen men and women mightily used of My Spirit. I sent them forth as a pilot program to come and train you, but many just looked at them and lifted them up, and some of them were lifted up in pride and the anointing left them, and some of them became money minded and lost the anointing. And there will be in other places fire of the Spirit that will actually become littoral, oh yes in the Spirit realm some of us have seen it, in the Spirit ream with the consciousness of the fire of God but the fire will actually come into manifestation and there will people, sinners as well as saints, that will see fire all over the heads of the people. There will be people driving down the street or down the highway and they will see fire on top of the buildings and they will come and say, what does all this mean? But you see the Lord will use signs of his presence to bring people in the last days into the fullness of his Spirit and into full salvation so miraculous things in the realm of the Spirit with greatest miracle of all in the building so thick that people caught in the net that the nets can’t hold them, there will not be church houses enough to hold the people. For the purpose of it all is that you may be fishers of men, quit fishing in your bathtub, there are not any fish in your own bathtub, go out where the fishes are and throw out the net, not the hook, the net, and pull them in. And the glory of the lord shall shine, and the end time shall come, and you’ll stand in the place, yes many of you that stand here will stand in the place of ministry that you have not stood in before, and will stand in the place that is ordained for you from the foundation of the earth. \\In his written word concerning the end days the times that we are living in today God has said he will pour out his Spirit out without measure. God said that in Joel 2:28 and again over in Acts 2:17. Let’s read that. Joel 2:28 "And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Now Over in the new testament God follows this up by saying, in Acts 2:17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.

The state of Texas has been rocked by over a dozen earthquakes in just the last day.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the quake struck just north of Odessa at 8:14am CT.

Just 15 minutes earlier, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck roughly 30 miles away.

Since 4am CT on Wednesday, Texas has experienced 16 minor earthquakes, all along the central and western parts of the state.

The vast majority have been very small tremors, measuring between 1.0 and 1.8 in magnitude.

However, two quakes this morning were larger, the 3.4 magnitude quake and a 2.1 tremor 13 minutes later in the same spot - approximately 17 miles southwest of Garden City.

Since March 13, USGS revealed that there have been a staggering 311 tiny earthquakes in this region of Texas.

It continues to be a seismically active year for all of Texas, which has also seen record-setting quakes in the southern part of the state.

On March 10, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck less than 50 miles south of San Antonio.

On January 29, a near-historic magnitude 4.5 earthquake was felt in San Antonio, followed by a 3.6 tremor two days later.

The 4.5 earthquake was the third-strongest quake in South Texas history - behind a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in 2011 and a 4.7 quake in February 2024.

Seismic activity above 2.5 in magnitude can often be felt and cause minor damage.

As for what's causing this earthquake swarm in West Texas, the answer may actually be man-made.

Odessa sits in the Permian Basin, a major oil and gas production region for the state. That area is also completely clear of major fault lines, like the ones in California that could cause major devastation.

Texas is the biggest producer of crude oil and natural gas in the US, based on an assessment of 2023 data by the US Energy Information Administration.

Fracking is not usually the direct cause of an earthquake. It is actually the process of disposing wastewater produced through fracking that can trigger tremors.

This wastewater is injected into disposal wells that typically operate for longer periods of time and receive much more fluid than is injected into the ground during the fracking process, making them more likely to produce earthquakes, according to the USGS.

In President Trump's most recent address to Congress, he said: 'We have more liquid gold under our feet than any nation on earth… I fully authorize the most talented team ever assembled to go and get it… By unleashing American energy, we will defeat inflation and dramatically lower costs. It's called drill baby drill.'

USGS noted that the largest earthquake known to be induced by hydraulic fracturing in the US was a magnitude 4.0 earthquake that occurred in 2018 in Texas.

To this point, only today's 3.4 magnitude quake has come close to approaching that level of disturbance.

A 2022 study by the University of Texas at Austin concluded that 68 percent of Texas quakes above magnitude 1.5 were 'highly associated' with oil and gas production.
