Welcome everyone, TY you for coming today, it’s so nice to see people gathered together in the name of the Lord. AMEN

"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." Matt 18:20 (NKJ) Jesus is in our midst. Thank you Lord.

TY worship team for leading us into God’s presence. That’s what God has called all of us to do, to come into his presence and to worship and praise him for all his goodness, and to praise him with all our hearts that’s so important just as important as studying and knowing his word.

Ps 147:1 says Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. (NKJ)

If we didn’t praise him for anything else, we must remember he has saved every one of us who have called on his name, he has saved us from the pits of hell. AMEN

Prayer - Father bring to our attention everything you would have us glean and understand from your word, and give us insight in your word. Amen

There are MANY EXAMPLES IN THE BIBLE WHERE JESUS and THE SAINTS OF GOD during their time of ministry MEET OPPOSITION. We’ll take a look at some of that. But in the mean time we must recall in Revelation Jesus has said that he has made us to be overcomers. In the midst of all the opposition we need to be reminded Jesus has made us overcomers. So in the midst of all that, if we encounter opposition, at the same time we need to recall the very end result will be, we have been made overcomers.

Opposition, yes, we’ll have opposition once in a while but we overcome because he (Jesus) overcame, and he said because he overcame we will overcome.

In Rev 3:21 Jesus said and I am reading "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. That was the (NKJ) now

Rev 3:21 in the Living bible puts this verse, this way, quote “I will invite everyone who is victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. (NLT)

Opposition `````````````````````````````````````````````````

First we will address opposition in this respect.

\\When God moves here in all his power and in all his might with his mighty, mighty miracles taking place and with his end time revival taking on more momentum, (you might say in full swing), that time of revival spoken of in his word in Joel 2:28 & 29 and again in Acts 2:17, not all the people of the world will be pleased.

\\The written words I am bringing up concerning the end days are found first in the old test and then confirmed again in the new).

I am reading now out of the (NKJ) Joel 2:28-29 "And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream, dreams, your young men shall see visions.

Verse 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. \\That’s the (NKJ), and that’s from the Old Testament. Joel prophesied that somewhere between 800 & 835 years before Christ. Now for the New Testament we will go to the new testament book of Acts the year AD 62.

Acts chapter 2: verse 17 and the following verses, 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.

2 Verse 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy.

And it also goes on to say -----------------------------

19 I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

21 And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.' (NKJ) ------------------------------

\\We have already seen glimpses of the sun being darkened and blood moons. I believe that that these signs will take place even to a greater extent in the coming future.

\\There will be multitudes that will be pleased, more than pleased, they will be full of joy as God moves and meet their needs with signs and wonders taking place, healing and deliverance without measure.

Of course things will happen, because God has said they will. There will be some in opposition but God said his people will be the overcomes. He has told us we will overcome, because he overcame. Over and over again, in his written word in Rev chapters 2 and 3 he talks a lot about that. (Rev chapter 2: verses 7,17,26, and in Rev chapter 3: verses 5,12,21) and also over again in his rhema word to the church. Over and over God has told us we are the overcomers.

\\In his written word we see that he has taken care of the opposition in the past.

Since this is the end time move, and it is, and it has been ordained by God, it has to be, no man can do the things, the very things the Lord has said will happen here on earth, no man, only God. God will deal with opposition and take care of it. It’s more than doubtful any opposition will ever have any effect on us because God said that in his end time move, that he will move so powerfully, and so rapidly and because of the multitudes that come in nothing will stop him or slow him down.

\\As we read the bible we see that there was certainly opposition in the past history of God’s moves, but this time he has told us that there has never been, here on earth, a move as great as his last end time revival will be, and it will be far greater than anything that has ever been seen in the past. Nothing, nothing can or ever will compare to it, and it will continue on until he comes back for his church.

Our focus today is going to be on some of the OPPOSITION that his people encountered in the past.

First we will take a look at how they came against Jesus ministering healing in Luke chapter 6. In Luke chapter 6 Jesus performs a miracle and the Pharisees came against him.

They OPPOSED JESUS when he was meeting the needs of the people.

So here is what happened in this one instance, and how they opposed Jesus in this particular case as he was ministering healing to the man with a withered hand. This is the incident.

Luke 6:6 and following. Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered.

\\I don’t know if you have ever seen anyone with a withered hand. I have only seen a couple in my lifetime. One man lived here in Cortland County his arm and his one hand and were less than a quarter of the size it should have been, his arm wasn’t very big around either, his hand was small, he couldn’t do anything with them, you might say they just hung on his body. I heard at one time he had been in a bad car accident but his body otherwise was perfectly normal. Anyway continuing on with Luke 6:verse 7

7 So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him.

8 But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, "Arise and stand here." And he arose and stood.

9 Then Jesus said to them, "I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?"

10 And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

\\The Pharisees were not pleased about this, verse 11 tells us ````````

chapter 6 verse 11 But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus. (NKJ)

chapter 6 verse 14 Then the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him. (NKJ)

\\Think about this, wouldn’t you think the Pharisees and everyone else would be rejoicing that this man was healed; he now has two complete and normal hands.

But No, they paid no attention to what they had just witnessed and they wanted to destroy the one that brought the miracle.

\\Wouldn’t you have to have a heart of stone to be that way?

To me that attitude is just unreal.

\\Let’s take a little side trip to the Old Testament because that reminded me of another instance of a withered hand.

A withered hand happened also in Old Testament to King Jeroboam. He was given a word from God and he didn’t like it. We have seen that happen here and in other ministries. God gives a person a word if they do like it they have a smile on their face, but if he gives them a word they don’t like, they come against the person that gave them the word and say not so nice things about that person.

So in another instance another withered hand. In the Old Testament king Jeroboam, came against the man of God that gave him a word from God and look at what happens in this instance.

I Kings chapter 13:1 Verse 1 and following And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the LORD, (in other words he was God sent) and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense.

Verse 2 of 1 Kings 13 Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the LORD, and said, "O altar, altar! Thus says the LORD: 'Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and men's bones shall be burned on you.'"

\\This requires a little explanation. There were at that time, priests, not God called priests, but priests, who worshiped false God’s and sacrificed to them and they burned incense to their false Gods. (Or should we say the devils boys)

Anyway, God’s message to the king is, he is going to destroy them, and the man of God, with the message from God, continues on and says

1 Kings 13 Verse 3 it tells us “And he gave a sign the same day, saying, "This is the sign which the LORD has spoken: Surely the altar shall split apart, and the ashes on it shall be poured out."

4 So it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, who cried out against the altar in Bethel, that he stretched out his hand from the altar, saying, "Arrest him!" Then his hand, which he stretched out toward him, withered, so that he could not pull it back to himself. (WOW did you get that? That would have been something to see)

5 The altar also was split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.

Verse 6 Then the king answered and said to the man of God, "Please entreat the favor of the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me." So the man of God entreated the LORD, and the king's hand was restored to him, and became as before. That was the (NKJ)

`````` The living bible puts verse 6 this way.

Now remember the living bible is a paraphrased bible, meaning that it is a thought for a though translation. I Kings 13:6 the living bible

6 The king cried out to the man of God, "Please ask the LORD your God to restore my hand again!" So the man of God prayed to the LORD, and the king's hand became normal again. (NLT)

\\It seems to be, the nature of mankind, that when the Lord gives man a word that he doesn’t like that some times that the man will rise up against it.

Well you can do that, but it isn’t a wise thing to do.

In this case God was gracious and restored the king’s hand. But I wouldn’t want to test God’s reaction in that way, would you?

Would you want to gamble on doing that? Certainly not me. ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

\\Anyway, that was an interesting side trip, but now going back to the new testament this time to Matthew.

Jesus sends out the disciples giving them power and instructions and Jesus tells them what will happen, he told them, they would have opposition.

Matthew Chapter 10: verse 1 tells us

Matt 10:1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.

\\When Jesus sent the apostles out, further down in verse 16 he told them, there would be opposition.

Matt 10:16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

Verse 17 "But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. (NKJ)

18 "You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

Verse 19 "But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;

20 "for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (NKJ)

\\So what do we glean from this? Probably many different things but one thing I take away from this is, to just move with the Holy Spirit and listen to him only.

Now we will take a look at what happens to the ones sent out to minister the good news of the gospel and to do this we will continue on in the book of Acts and see where the authorities came against the apostles and the disciples and the others that are spreading the gospel.

We’ll start out with the Church at Antioch as they send out Barnabas and Saul and others.

In Acts chapter 13: verse 6 and following we will read about Paul with Sergius Paulus, and Paul’s encounter with Elymas the sorcerer.

Acts 13:6 Now when they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus,

Verse 7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. (KJV)

\\God by the power of his Holy Spirit took care of that situation. Because in Verse 9 and following it tells us

Acts 13:9 Then Saul, who also is called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him.

13:10 and said, "O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord?

11 "And now, indeed, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time." And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

Verse 12 tells us the end result.

12 Then the proconsul believed, when he saw what had been done, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord. (NKJ)

\\Elymas the sorcerer got stopped by the hand of God, we see the devils son wasn’t able to stop God’s work.

In this end time revival, God has said, that he will not be stopped, it will go forth exactly the way he has planned it.

Another Example of OPPOSITION `````````````````````````````````````

\\And then again at Iconium the Jews stirred things up and attempted to stone the apostles. Barnabas and Saul and the others.

Acts 14: verse 1 and following tell us about the incident

1 Now it happened in Iconium that they went together to the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks believed.

Verse 2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brethren.

14:3 Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

4 But the multitude of the city was divided: part sided with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

5 And when a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them,

6 they became aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the surrounding region. (NKJ)

\\We see here Christian Believers are not always thought of by everyone as being as slick as hot butter. The devil doesn’t like it when people turn to God, and he uses those that he can control, and they put up a fight.

`` We’ll continue on in Acts chapter 14 `````````````````````````

\\At Lystra they actually stoned Paul and left him for dead.

We read about that in Acts 14:19

19 Then Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there; and having persuaded the multitudes, they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. (NKJ)

\\But God takes care of Paul, the bible doesn’t give us the details but it goes on to tell us what the end result was.

Acts 14:20 However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city.

\\(So what effect did the stoning have on Paul, none, he stands up and goes right back to the city. God protected him,) And the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.

Acts 14:21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, (NKJ)

Just think about this, Paul goes right back to the same place where they came against him. That is bold.

\\Paul and the others actually walked away from the whole situation, now that’s God. Just think about this incident. Some of the Jews and gentiles thought he was dead, but they couldn’t stop him. Paul returned to Iconium that very same place where they tried to kill Paul the time before.

Now going on over into Acts chapter 16 Paul receives what is referred to as the “Macedonian Call”.

Acts 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."

\\We have been reading in the (NKJ) version```````

\\I have a comment here by Jamie Buckingham who is or was Senior Pastor, of Tabernacle Church Melbourne Fl. He wrote this under the title of “Dreams and Visions Leaders Traits” and one of the things he mentions is “Godly leaders hear from God through the written word, the Bible and through dreams and visions. Their thought channels are cleansed of impurity, they are not conformed to the pattern of their world but are transformed in the renewing of their minds and he references (Romans 12:2).

\\This would be a good time to bring up concerning COMMENTS :

When it comes to comments the things that I am commenting about are always taken from others. Nothing I have to say is original, even if it is given by the Spirit, many times, chances are, that the Spirit has also shared it with others. I want you to know I don't have a corner on the market of anything I am talking about, nothing original. I have either seen it, or read it, or heard about it from others.

Now, Continuing on in Acts: chapter 16 and verse 16 to be exact, and following

Acts 16:16-19

16 Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling.

17 This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation."

Verse 18 And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And he came out that very hour.

19 But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities.

Down to verse 23

Acts 16:23 and following to verse -35

23 And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely.

24 Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.

25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

Verse 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed.

27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself.

28 But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, "Do yourself no harm, for we are all here."

29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.

30 And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

31 So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."

32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.

33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.

Verse 34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.

35 And when it was day, the magistrates sent the officers, saying, "Let those men go." (NKJ)

\\So we see from these incidents that God has made a way, and will make a way, where there seems to be no way, he makes a way for his children. Praise God! The Song.

``````` In my life time ```````````

Dr. Chet Sapino, who was my former first pastor I recall him telling how they came against him on two different occasions. I’m sure there were many more times than that, but two instances come to mind. He was ministering at Hendricks chapel on the Syracuse University campus casting out spirits and they told him they didn’t want him to come there anymore and do those things.

In another instance that he faced opposition, he was teaching deliverance on his daily radio program and two ministers from large full gospel churches in Syracuse, NY came against him, big time and gave him a real bad time. One made a remark that he was looking for demons under every stone.

I later heard one of those pastors say that he needed healing and brought his need before the Lord as he had always done in the past, and as time went on God didn’t move on his behalf.

So he asked the Lord why, and God told him you were critical of my servant. Obliviously he had to repent before God would move on his behalf.

Still talking about OPPOSITION The devil has used me a time or two to come against what God was doing. In one instance, I was visiting someone in the hospital and that person was dieing at the time but I didn’t know that. Anyway another lady was there at the same time and she was telling this man about her belief in the Lord and as she went on she started talking very rapidly, with great empathy, and this was going on and on. Obviously Holy Spirit was moving on her and I interrupted her and took the conversation off in another direction. It was the devil moving on me, and at that time and I didn’t even realize it. Well I had to repent over that. I have had this same thing happen to me several times I would be talking to someone about the things of the Lord and someone would interrupt and take the conversation over in another direction.

I tell you this, to caution everyone, be aware of your surroundings.

I’m not sure this incidents fits in with what we are talking about at this time but some how I felt the need to share this with you. Now on to another incident

\\Another incident I recall, we were here in the grange building at that time and the HS warned us, pastors who endorsed the false were planning on coming to a Sunday night service, so we prayed and bound that up and they didn’t show up. Of course this church was against the false shake and jerk movement that was in full swing at that time, and these pastors were indorsing it and spreading it. As most of you know right in the first book of the bible in Genesis, God gave man dominium over his creation that obviously included the animals; he did not give animal’s dominium over man. Yes, God can shake people and sometimes does, but when they leave his presence that’s the end of it.

They certainly don’t go away behaving like animals, frogs and snakes and so on, and not being able to control their bodies.

The written word on this is Genesis 1:26-27 and we will read that…

Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." And verse 27 goes on to say

27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. (NKJ)

God didn’t create animals to have dominion over man period!!!!

Did you also notice God created them male and female, should man recreate them into something different, that’s another subject.

Back on track to animal manifestations

\\In one instance I saw that going on, I wasn’t there, it was on a Syracuse, NY TV station on the 11 o’clock nightly news program. The news crew was at a very large full gospel church in North Syracuse, Cicero New York area filming a man in a squatted position going across the platform hopping up and down and behaving like a frog.

I have a comment by Charles Blake that I would like to mention at this time.

CHARLES BLAKE   B.A., M.DIV., D.TH. HE COMMENTS SAYING "MAN'S DOMINION OVER CREATION (HUMAN WORTH) and he says NOT ONLY WAS MAN INTRINSICALLY DISTINCT FROM THE REST OF CREATION HE WAS GIVEN AUTHORITY OVER THE EARTH AND EVERYTHING UPON IT.   MAN WAS MADE TO RULE."

HERE IS Another INTERESTING COMMENT ABOUT THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT MADE BY DONALD PICKERILL B.TH, BA, MA, PROFESSOR AT LIFE BIBLE COLLEGE SAN DIMAS, CA and he says,

"UNLIKE PAGANISM THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES NOT DRIVE PEOPLE INTO WILD COMPULSIVE ACTS.  HIS GENTLE DOVE LIKE MINISTRY STRENGTHENS HUMAN PERSONALITY."    HE EMPOWERS, HE DOES NOT OVERPOWER

This also reminded me of a remark I heard the late Charles Capps make a long time ago.  He said "Don't be like a Granola bar for it is made up of fruit, nuts and flakes.  Know what the word says."

Anyway, continuing on with this TV interview I am talking about.

They interviewed the people there, they said that this was of God and that revival is going on. I recognized the church since I had been there many times in years past, before people were acting like animals or any of these manifestations were taking place. There were no spirits like this operating back at that time. If you know this is going on, you are forewarned, you want to stay away from anything like this, these false spirits, they are powerful, and leading people in the wrong direction.

This church was holding a Campmeeting service with a guest speaker ministering. A lady came to the church here with a scripture the lord had given her before the service started and was about to take place. The scripture was Lamentations 2:14 and I’ll read it. “Thy prophets have seen vain and foolish things for thee: and they have not discovered thine iniquity, to turn away thy captivity; but have seen for thee false burdens and causes of banishment. (KJV)

Thank God for the open vessels that he can work through and give his warnings and save us from evil.

A guest speaker was ministering the message that night, and the leadership here stopped them from ministering and laying hands on individuals and promoting their false move.

Thank you Father God for sending your servant with that warning, if God had not done this, those spirits could have been spread throughout our church body. We all need to know what the word says and pay attention to what the spirit is saying to the church.

\\So there can be at times, OPPOSITION but God has made us overcomers and in this end time move of God, he has said his Spirit would move so powerfully, and so quickly, that nothing will stop him or slow him down. \\So do you think anything will slow God down in this end time move that is about to take place, I certainly don’t. I believe opposition will run in the opposite direction as fast as it can. The devil and his boys won’t be able to withstand the Spirit of God. I believe God will bulldoze so to speak and sweep across the earth. PRAISE GOD!

So in conclusion we have read in the word first of all, in the last days, says God, that “I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.”

So in conclusion we will see OPPOSITION. Yes we’ll have opposition once in a while but we will overcome because he (Jesus) overcame and he said because he overcame we will overcome. We read that in Rev 3:21

We read in Luke about Jesus healing the man with the withered hand and immediately the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him.

In Matthew Jesus sent the apostles out and told them "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

We talked about an example in Acts 13 where Paul was ministering when Elymas the sorcerer came against him.

And the apostles in Acts chapter 14 at Iconium a violent attempt was made by both the Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to abuse and stone them,

OPPOSITION I told you about how the devil had moved upon me to oppose what God was doing and how my former pastor had been opposed in the past.

Government coming against the church: Pastor Randy read where the Holy Spirit shared with the church body that God said in the end times the health officials will have a lot to say and did it ever happen here, lockdowns etc. Remember how here in New York and California they closed down everything including churches then Trump stepped in with an executive order that gave the churches the right to be open. The health dept came out with their ruling and instructions every other row in the sanctuary to be empty so many feet apart etc they said to quarantine don’t get around others. They closed the churches down in California, I don’t know about other states.
